Book Signing
08th December 2009
I will be signing copies of my first commissioned book Portrait of Armagh at the Navan Centre, Killylea Road, Armagh this weekend 12th and 13th December 2009.
Portrait of Armagh is the first contemporary photography book of County Armagh and features over 130 images of Armagh from Slieve Gullion to Lough Neagh.
I spent over six months photographing Armagh, with two months spent in post production. Stock material that I had created during the past 15 years is also included in the book.
Having lived in Armagh for over 15 years, I still see the county differently to those who have were born and reared here. And the book was inspired by my everyday travels through Armagh and by conversations with the people that I met. Many didn't know of the hidden sights within Armagh, their own county. Others didn't think there was much of interest in Armagh. The majority of those that I met really were interested in Armagh but no book of this type existed for their county.
So come along to the signing to get your copy of the book which will make an excellent Christmas gift for your friends, family and those living overseas who want to see a contemporary book on Armagh. All copies will be signed and will be discounted from normal price of £14.99 on Saturday and Sunday. I'd welcome the chance to have a chat and see what you think about Portrait of Armagh, and the county in general.
If you can't make it along to the signing, don't worry as you can still buy copies from me through this website, securely using PayPal. Any copies purchased this way will come with a free 7x5 print and will of course be signed. I ship to the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the rest of the EU. Contact me if you live elsewhere and I can advise on shipping times and cost.
Don't miss out - this is your chance to get a copy of my first commissioned book; Portrait of Armagh is the first in a series of 'Potrait of..' books that I have been commissioned to do. 2010 will see the publication of Portrait of Tyrone, Portrait of Dublin, Portrait of Galway and Portrait of Wicklow. Altogether, some of the finest counties in Ireland.
